Testimonials
“Dave DJed our wedding and was absolutely amazing. Very professional and made sure all details were correct. We got some many compliments on the music and he had a whole dance floor all night” - April M.
“Dave was awesome to work with! From our first meeting he was very professional and prepared with questions to help things run smoothy. When it got closer to our date he finalized things with me and even reached out to our venue and videographer and worked well to coordinate with them. We had a small wedding so I was a little worried people wouldn't dance but there was people out there all night and everyone had a blast!” - Chelsey M.
“We hired DJ Dave to DJ and MC at our wedding and we couldn't be happier with the entire experience. From the beginning he made a point to check in with us consistently about timeliness, schedules and our preferences for music, MC wants and our general style so he could cater the music to our expectations.” - Matt R.
“The best DJ we have ever had! Professional, played the most amazing play list, and all around the best experience!!” - Erin W.

FAQs
-
Yes, my company, Tier Two Live, LLC is fully insured. We're also a registered business with the State of Colorado.

After the initial inquiry from the bride & groom about our services, we have a conversation about the date, location, and needs for the wedding. This can be over email, phone, or video call.
Once we understand the scope of the wedding, we will send over a quote that includes everything that was discussed. I also include a template of our standard contract so the couple can review all the terms, including our cancelation policy.
If all looks good to the couple, they sign the contract and send over payment of the 30% non-refundable retainer. Once we receive both of these items, we lock the date on our end.
We have a custom questionnaire that is then sent over for the couple to start filling in all of the details for their special day.
At a minimum, we have one final coordination call about two weeks ahead of the big day to run through the questionnaire to make sure everyone is happy with the plan.
During this time, we’re also in communication with the wedding planner, day-of-coordinator, and videographer to coordinate details.

Yes! We have a few different kind of lights for various needs. We have bright and colorful LED wash lights that work well as dance floor lighting or accent lighting near the front of the reception. We also have wireless, battery powered uplights that are great at adding additional color around the room. They can easily be moved from the ceremony to the reception area if needed.

Yes, I can take music requests, but I typically leave it up to the bride and groom if they want me to.
-
Yes! I have Ableton Live and can create custom mixes and edits of songs if so desired.
-
Absolutely! I have a battery powered speaker for wedding ceremonies that take place away from a power source. I can provide up to three sound systems if needed (additional fees may apply though).
-
I typically try to match the aesthetic of the wedding. I typically wear a dark grey suit with a button down shirt. I can wear a tuxedo for fancier weddings or a black polo shirt with black slacks for more relaxed weddings. Don't be alarmed when I'm not wearing that when I first arrive. I wear separate load in & setup clothes so that my fancy stuff stays nice.
-
I use two Technics 1200 turntables (and a microphone...) with a Pioneer S9 mixer and Serato. This allows me to play any song you want while giving a great retro vibe. I beat match and actually mix my reception sets (and often dinner too!). I can "quick mix" songs together, where I'm aiming to play the best 60-90 seconds of songs, but I'm also happy to play full songs too.
-
I typically arrive about 2-3 hours before guests arrive. For larger setups with multiple sound systems and lighting, I'll arrive at least 3 hours ahead of guest arrival time.
-
Absolutely! We're fully inclusive of all people and have LGBTQ friendly playlists to support it. Want suggestions for a gender neutral first dance song? We got you!
